Week 10 once more provided excitement, with a major surprise for the Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that draws so many people into the NFL

This outcome could have created things up for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that provides them an advantage over their eight and two rivals

Over in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen try too much or could it simply have been a bad day for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to address

The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the start as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising outcome - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two scores

Containing the league's best rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and company registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5-yard season average

Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine minute possession yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins turned into seven points just two plays

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Allen trying to do too much to rescue his squad out of it - not the calm, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on if this is the beginning of a trend, but for the Bills they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three eight and two squads in the NFL, all AFC teams, but could they be the best?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts actually for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their combined twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Colts defeating the Denver

The Broncos beat the champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Buffalo appears to be a statement

Their pair of losses occurred in new head coach Mike Vrabel's first three contests, with seven consecutive wins, similar to the Broncos, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to prepare was significant

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he definitely deserves credit for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his side to success

The defensive unit is reliable and first-year running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting scores of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown

While you can argue who 'the best' is technically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the best record thanks to their schedule - which includes just a single matchup against a successful opponent, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Chargers (who could also compete for top seed but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two matchups with the five and four Jaguars to face. There's a long way to travel but the door is open for a shock number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Next Week Showdown

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who each put up forty points to go to 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA

They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game

Both could realistically be without a loss as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they're truly among the best sides in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the season so far

Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor

Taylor might be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Germany - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
