Ex- Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges include:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
