A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the metropolis of Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a nation battling entrenched crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was gunned down in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old entertainer was confronted by a trio of assailants, with one opened fire on him before escaping on foot.
