Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Astrological Sign

The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the community. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, offering an constant stream of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general intimidating presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
